The architectural industry has changed dramatically post-industrial revolution. Which revolutionized the material palate for architects. However, Concrete and Steel remained the core materials for construction ever since, and the inclination to use these two materials never declined due to their aesthetic appearance and structural strength. Recognizing the integral beauty as well as considering the strength of these materials, the freedom has been taken to generate buoyant frame-like built mass.

Identifying the flow of programmatic spaces and spreading it on boundaries of the site, allows the program a healthy partially open volume in the middle. Which could be used as a central court as well as the entrance to the built mass. On the other hand, the peripheral arrangement permits each volume to have visual linkage to the courtyard as and when needed. As a result, it grants an intimate feeling to the streetscape. 

On the other hand, the placement of the courtyard in the middle allows programmatic spaces surrounded by, gets the opportunity to gain spillover spaces open to it as well as grant visual linkage to sectional spaces across. The tall masses around the courtyard keep it shaded throughout the day allowing a great deal in exchanging the air between built-form and open spaces.

The levitating form – emerging from the ground – is derived from the volumetric space of the auditorium and its peripheral programmatic spaces. It enables an open plaza below and above the built mass, to address public and private gatherings respectively.  

Carefully crafted void to the built mass of the exhibition space, allows the visitor to catch glimpses of enclosed volume while entering the premise arises curiosity and encourages the end-user to celebrate the envelope of the building from within. 

Light fills the functional spaces from carefully calibrated voids to lend grandeur and liveliness to the space.

The courtyard as an entrance gives warmth by enveloping the end-user to make them feel invited and part of the premise from the very beginning  

The drama of the levitating masses piling on each other bestows audacity to the built environment.
