The Twisted Block House is built around an area of 270 sq. mt of a plot, having three open sides and one shared wall. The formal entry to the house bifurcates the Formal and Informal spaces. Informal Spaces are defined by the volumetric drama of the dining area, sky-lit court and family room which are the core part of the design. Living spaces are maximized in double height volume around the Sky-lit Court. This ensures natural light and ventilation throughout the day.
Moving on into the voluminous living spaces, the floor has an open floor plan that centers around the sky-lit court to blend the stories and the culture the house will create.
The twisted mass protrudes out from white-washed stucco walls. The twist in the built form can be seen in the internal as well as external spaces. The mass acts as a sculptural beauty that unveils the outdoors breaking the solidity of the twisted mass.
